IE Browser ONLY loads to About:Blank

For no reasons that I can see, my browser now only loads to About:Blank. I change the address but goes back to that. I changed the default home page, deleted all cookies, deleted history, no can do. I cannot obtain anything else than that About:Blank. I tried to remove and re-add IE from Add/Remove Software of Control Panel. Ran Norton (updated for viruses) but it did not detect any virus or corrupted files. I have not clicked yes to any dialog boxes. The rest of my computer appears to work fine. I don't want to format my drive but I am running out of options
Please help me.

Try this registry fix:

Usage: double-click and answer YES when prompted.

Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Options > Programs > click "Reset Web
Settings" button.

Finally, download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com, scan the system and
eliminate the malware products. Re-apply the above fix if necessary. Don't
forget to update the pattern file using WebUpdate in Ad-Aware. Here are the
steps:

1. Start Ad-Aware.
2. Click "Check for Updates", "Connect" and download the latest pattern
file if available. and click Finish
3. Click "Start" "Next" [System will now detect the spyware]
4. After the scan is finished, click "Next"
5. Select all the items (checkboxes)
Right click on any object in the "Scan result" list and choose
[Select all objects]
6. Click Next and click OK to confirm spyware removal.

Things are now working. I used CWShredder. It was simple to fix afterall, but I just needed to identify what software to use. Thanks very very muc
