Mike
I have a problem with IE when an invalid URL is entered
in the address line.
Rather than getting the "this page could not be loaded"
page, I get a Dial-up Connection window.
I am connected using a cable modem when I get this
message.
I have no problem with accurate URLs, but if there is a
mistyped address or an invalid address, I get this
message and have to select the "Work Offline" button,
then go to File -> Work Offline and uncheck that option
before I can go to any other site.
I have tried doing a WindowsXP reinstall, but that did
not fix the problem.
What else can I do? This problem started about 2 months
ago but did not occur at all for the first 2 years with
this setup.
My cable modem was replaced since this began and I have
added a wireless network, but that too was done after
this
problem began. Everything else seems to be unchanged.
Help?!?!
Please let me know if you need any other information.
Thank you,
Mike
