IE and OE troubles

We have been experiencing some trouble with Outlook Express (6.0) and
Internet Explorer (6.0). OE hardly ever connects, and IE usually connects
but has had some trouble lately. Should I be looking to reinstall both of
these programs?

winXP (sp2)
Pentium 4
768 mb ram

that you subscribe to newsgroups? I do it through Outlook Express. I've
noticed others go via google. Is there a better way than through OE?

The headers of my posts (your, too) will show you that I'm using OE to post
here, Robert.

I am of course biased but I don't feel that using any web-interface to read
& post to newsgroups is better than using a newsreader like OE.
