IE address bar

I am having a problem with URLs in the address bar. If I type the http://
before the URL the page loads fine, but if i just try to type www.___.com it
takes about a minute or two before it understands "hey, I need to load a
webpage." Proxy settings are turned off and I have ran Ad-aware and
Microsoft Spyware. If anyone has an idea let me know. Appreciate it.

You might need to 'fix' the registered libraries.. The easy way is to use
IEfix utility, as outlined on one of our MVP pages:
