IE ... Active-X

S

Sid Knee

In IE, under Internet Options > Security I have Active-X turned off for
one group of sites.

Mostly, this is no big loss but it does lead to a frequent pop-up window
from IE informing me that Active-X is turned off (yeah, I know) and some
site content may not be available (yeah, I know). Unfortunately, it is
not one of those windows with a "do not show this again" checkbox.

I can't find any way to turn this off and it gets *really* annoying ...
if I wanted to know each time, I could have set Active-X to "prompt"
instead of "disable".

Am I missing something? Is there a way to stop this?

| Yes, I guess that would be more appropriate. Funny thing is, if I
| click on that link (as opposed to adding the group to my local news
| server and news-reader) it informs me that "You must enable ActiveX
| controls in order to browse Discussion Groups."
|
| rotfl !
