IE 8 Slow

I have a P4 2.4 with 2 GB Memory, running XP Pro SP3
I have IE7, Chrome and Firefox
After upgrading to IE 8, Its takes about 2-3 times long to open IE8 over IE7

Finally went back to IE7 and blocked IE8 Upgrade for now.

Perhaps my P4 2.4 is a little weak

I have also "upgraded" to IE8 and on two machines no problem but on Laptop
it hangs and crashes everytime it goes to the default Microsoft Home Page.
How ever it does work on other websites. Strange... I use Firefox anyway so
it doesn't matter.

A lot of reasons, will try it again, if I need to reload XP. The company I
work for is still running IE6.
