IE 7 Starting Automatically

Hello,

Upgraded ie6 to ie 7 last evening and have 2 new problems. When XP reboots,
I now get an error/dialogue box, stating update.exe cannot initialize,
missing system.dll file. I click through that, and the remaining start
completes, including my Norton system scan which indicates all programs are
working correctly; AND, IE 7 starts automatically without being started by
myself. I went to the Windows update page, and it "updated" the software
required, but I still get the update.exe error at startup and IE 7 is still
kicking in.

Help?

You should post your question in the IE7 newsgroup *after* you spend
some time reading through the posts there. The IE7 newsgroup is:

microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

There are a huge number of posts so it would be smart to start by going
to Google Groups Advanced Search. Use a search term that describes your
problem, constrain the search to the IE7 newsgroup and the date to very
recently.

And no, I'm sorry but I don't have your answer or I would tell you
now. ;-)
