IE 7 setup

After a repair installation of XP PRO SP2 Windows update are downloaded and
installed.
When IE 6 is upgraded to IE 7,I go for quick setup,and ,at the end of the
procedure,when I press "Save settings" nothing happens and I am asked to go
for the procedure every time I launch IE7.
Can anybody help?
