IE 6 won't start since I installed Windows Updates

I received the little windows icon informing me that there
were Windows updates ready to download. I downloaded them
and installed them and now everytime I try to start IE 6
(version 6.0.2800.1106), nothing happens...it looks like
the application is trying to start, but after about 2
seconds the hourglass is gone and there is no IE
running...no error messages appear anywhere that I can find...

Try a repair or I.E.
Add/Remove programs/MS/IE repair.

Disable any security programs that may be running.
