IE 6 will not launch

R

Ralph M.

When I try to launch my Internet Explorer I get a message
stating that "exlpore has caused and error in
YCOMP5_3_12_0.DLL". Any ideas on how to correct this
problem? I tried to reload IE6 but it states that a
previous installation has pending work requiring a reboot
and that I need to restart my computer to complete that
installation before running IE setup. I assume that this
message is generated because IE6 is already installed on
the PC.

Ralph,

This error is caused by Yahoo Companion (YCOMP5_3_12_0.DLL). Uninstalling this software might help.
