IE 6 Title Bar displays garbage

I'm wondering what I can do to solve an annoying problem. The Title Bar in my
Internet Explorer displays the following: ??????????????????4????????r?
instead of any message, website name or whatever else it used to display. The
display may change slightly from website to website but it is always
something similar to the above - a lot of consecutive question marks, a digit
or letter and more question marks.

Is there a simple fix for this?

Title bar may contain garbage characters
Title bar truncated to 1 character.

Do you have the Google Desktop bar installed?
If so, try uninstalling/reinstalling it.
It has been reported to sometimes produce truncation of the title bar
text.

Yes, I have a Google toolbar in my IE along with some others. Thanks, I'll
try that and let you know.

Since I don't use it, I think I'll just leave it uninstalled.
