I can't get my IE 6 with SP2 to save my Autocomplete Settings. I am using
Windows XP Professional. I want to use Autocomplete on Web addresses, forms,
and user names and passwords on forms.

Have you checked the appropriate boxes? Tools | Internet Options | Content |
AutoComplete.

Yes, I checked all the boxes but the check marks don't stay (they are gone
when I go back in). I checked a web site that used to work with autocomplete
and I had no users names or a drop down box.

I would wait to see if there is another idea floating around out there
first, but as a last resort, you can try an R & R.

How to Reinstall or Repair IE6 and OE6:

Although written for WinXP, it works for all Windows operating systems 98 or
newer.

If you are using WinXP/SP2, and it was not already on your computer from the
factory, you will have to remove SP2 first.

Before attempting a Reinstall or Repair, I'd run a /thorough/ check for
hijackware:

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post
