Autocomplete

Bob

I am unable to save the settings in my internet options
for Autocomplete. I go to IE-Tools-Internet Options-
Content-Autocomplete and check the boxes for web
addresses, forms, user names and passwords on forms, and
prompt me to save passwords. I then select OK. However, it
doesn't save the selections. When I go back into IE-Tools-
Internet Options-Content-Autocomplete, there are no
checkmarks in the boxes. Can anybody help me with this
problem? Thanks!

Bob ... It wouldn't really help but its something that i
thought was odd about HP computer which a friend of my
has , Well he is having the same problem as you and i was
trying to help him solve it ... Well we found out that HP
has something to do with why the autocomplete doesn't
work , its something they did when they install there OS
preinstall OS which is the same that dell does preinstall
the OS ... You might want to ask dell reason why it
doesn't work and if they tell you that they don't give
support for software then ask then who installed the damn
software lol ... I never really found out how HP had
something to do with the autocomplete because my friend
just gave up and start using a different browser (
Netscape )... Sorry i couldn't help

Look up the registry settings.

How to Disable Internet Explorer Password Caching
The dialog box that prompts you for your security credentials contains a
check box to allow you to save the password so you do not have to type the
password again when you attempt to use the same document. This is known as
"password caching."
