IE 6 SP1 access violation

Hello,

we recieve on a W2000 Client the following error when we try to start IE6 SP1:
access violation on address 0000 0000. read of address 0000 0000.

after click on this error popup, the browser loads normal.
but with that problem our web applications don´t work anymore.

tried to new install IE6 with SP1 but nothing changed, checked for bad
plugins or unusual startup entries but nothing.

has anyone experience with that error?

Hello Robear,

thank you very much for your quick input, but there is not google or any
other toolbar installed.

meanwhile we did also a memory test and also the memory has no single problem.

i am really looking forward for any help with this.

Full Windows version, please (e.g., Win2K SP4)?

When was IE6 SP1 installed and what SP level was the machine at the time of
the installation?

Is the machine fully patched at Windows Update?

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed? What
anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall
(if any)?
