IE 6 , Problem trying ti reinstall IE 6

I am experencing problems with IE 6, Must of deleted a
file by mistake went to support.microsoft.com to download
6 again downloaded iesetup.exe whe I launch teh setup it
tells me previous updates need to be done first a reboot
is needed I rebooted several times with teh same result.
Help I need to resolve this probelm .
