Well... I'm at a loss. I setup an FTP site for a client
on a Windows 2000 box. All works fine for any users of
the site w/ Windows XP, they can read and write without a
hitch. (This is using password authentication for 1 FTP
user which has Power User rights... all machines login
with the same account)
I have some users with 98 though and all have IE6...
- A couple can access the site, but with read only
permissions. It gives her the option to cut or copy a
file, but not to paste anywhere.
- One can not access the site at all, this one really
baffled me, but we backed out an update to IE6 which
brought her down to IE 5.5... and let her access the
site, but couldn't write to it.
This is driving me nuts... I shouldn't have to upgrade
the OS's to XP just to be able to properly use FTP. Any
insight out there?
