I recently purchased IE 6.0 SP1 CD from MS and installed
it. Now every time I log on and use IE I get an error
message: This program has performed an illegal operation
yada - yada

I am running W98 SE and have made all updates available
from the MS support site.

Any ideas what is worng or how to fix it?

Of course MS doesn't support its own products so I am
relying on someone's generosity to spend some time to
reply. Much thanks in advance.

This may of may not help. If not then please post your complete and exact
error message. The Registry HEX numbers are not required.

OLEXP: "Wnmsgupdt Caused An Invalid Page Fault In Module Kernel32.dll"
Wnmsgupdt caused an invalid page fault in module kernel32.dll.

The "yada - yada" is often helpful in solving problems.
