IE 6 freezing

HI!
My Internet explorer seems to have a mind of its own.
Lately it has been freezing (it hangs) everytime it
starts to load a web page. I've tried everything and am
very desperate- please help!

PS: My OS is Windows XP Home Ed.

I'd like to second that one - my whole PC freezes - a web
page loads about 1/2 way then locks up. I am unable to
bring up task manager as mouse is frozen as well.
This is the 4th time in 10 days.

There have been no hardware or software updates except for
add-on features for a product called Copernic. My issues
occured shortly thereafter - may or may not be unrelated.

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
