ie 6 error message

hi
when ever i open ie it shows this error message"the page
cannot be displayed" and no matter how many i try to go to
another website it says that message. i tried re-installing
but it still doesnt work can someone help
 
There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).

Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both.
If all fails get Hijack This. Link on the same page.
