IE 6 Closes For No Reason When Some Pages Load

This past week I have been having this problem with
Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106. I have Windows XP Home
Edition.

Sometimes when I enter a web address the browser will go
to the site and on the status bar "Done" will appear, but
then before the page is displayed the browser just closes
for no apparent reason. It happens most frequently with
Hotmail.com.

I know it is an error with Internet Explorer because I
downloaded a few other browsers and all the pages work
fine in there, but they aren't as good as IE so I would
like to get that working again.

Can anyone please help me, because it is getting really
frustrating now and is getting more and more frequent.

I have about four different Spyware programs installed
and search for adware and spyware everyday. I also
updated Windows and installed every download that was
available from Microsoft for my computer, and still the
problem continued to happen.

Does anyone know what I can do?

ie i've had quite a few probs at present ie constantly
has message encoutered problem and will shut
down,eventually got a responce page from microsoft that
stated that they are aware of the problem with ie6 and
are working on a solution i know this doesn't help much
but it seems to be their problem
