IE 6 keeps crashing

Have an old laptop running Win98 with IE6. Every time I attempt to open
Internet Explorer, a window opens telling me that Internet Explorer has
caused an error and must close. Gives me the option to check or uncheck a
box for IE to repopn or not. Have checked for viruses, adware and spyware.
Found some of each and cleaned all. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks!

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
