IE 6.1 Revocation Information Error

D

dope4datish

I installed the IE 6 SP1 and everytime I go to a secure
https website I keep getting the error:

Revocation information for the security certificate for
this site is not available.

Do you want to proceed?

Would appreciate any pointers to resolve this issue.
Thanks in advance for your time.

Tools | Internet Options | Advanced
Uncheck "Check for server certificate revocation".
If that isn't it, uncheck "Check for publisher's certificate revocation",
although I don't like unchecking this one.

Hello Frank,

I too am having the same problem after installing the Q831167.exe. I even tried uninstalling it but it's still generating the revocation error on every secure site.

Unchecking "Check for server certificate revocation" is not an option for me since I need to test SSL Certs for this error and it really isn't a "fix" for the problem.

Is reinstalling IE6 the only way to resolve this problem? And if so what is the best way to reistall IE6 on XP please?

Update for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (KB831167)
File Name: Q831167.exe

Best Regards,
GT

Hello Frank,

Unchecking "Check for server certificate revocation" isn't an option for me.

Is reinstalling IE6 the only resolution to this problem? I have uninstalled the patch (KB831167) but that didn't help.

Best Regards,
GT
