Starting today, 1/8/2004, enabling the "Check for server
certificate revocation" option (Tools, Options, Advanced)
is causing the following error message when visiting
secure web sites (https):
"Revocation information for the security certificate for
this site is not available. Do you want to proceed?"
(click Yes, and you can get to the https sites)
If you open Tools, Options, Content, Certificates...
you'll see that under Trusted Root tab and Intermediate
Certification tab that a handful of Versign certificates
expired on 1/7/2004 (well, on all my systems... XP, lates
IE).
