Hi Drew :)
When i hit a link the window freezes/doesn't responde for
about 5 minutes. i donno wats wrong...can ne1 help me plz

I suggest you try the following and see if it will help:

Internet connection 'freezes'
http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers2.htm#connection_freeze

Internet Explorer freezes
http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/answers3.htm#freezing

also....you may have malware, spyware or parasites that may be causing the
problem. Do the following and see if this will help:

Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Be sure to run CWShredder, Ad-aware and Spybot.
Also be sure to use the HijackThis. Please do not post your log to this
newsgroup, but the the SpywareInfo or the Aumha HiJackThis forums
http://forum.aumha.org/viewforum.php?f=30, to allow the experts there to
evaluate your log and advise you of the necessary steps to clean your
system.

CAUTION!!!!! Before you try to remove spyware using any of the programs
below, download a copy of LSPFIX from any of the following sites:
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html
(if your OS is Win2k or XP) The process of removing certain malware may kill
your internet connection. If this should occur, this program, LSPFIX, will
enable you to regain your connection.

Also, get a copy of WINSOCKFIX available at:
http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html

and............you may need to clear your Temporary Internet Files:

Emptying TIFs, Cookies and History.

1) Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools
2) Click on Internet Options
3) On the General Tab, in the middle of the screen, click on Delete
Files 4) Click on OK and wait for the hourglass icon to stop after it
deletes the temporary internet files
{This cleans >> C:\Documents and Settings\YourNameHere\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files}
5) On the General Tab, in the middle of the screen, click on Delete
Files {Yes, one more time!!!}
6) Check the box Delete all offline content
{This cleans >> C:\Documents and Settings\YourNameHere\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5}
7) Click on OK and wait for the hourglass icon to stop after it deletes
the temporary internet files
8) You can now click on Delete Cookies and click OK to delete cookies
that websites have placed on your hard drive.

To clear the Internet History in IE:
1) Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools
2) Click on Internet Options
3) On the General Tab, in the middle of the screen, click on Clear
History 4) Click OK

You can get....
C:\Documents and Settings\YourNameHere\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files
to delete automatically by...
Open IE | Tools | Internet Options | Advanced tab |
CHECK:
Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed
[[Specifies whether to clear the Temporary Internet Files folder when
you close the browser.]]
Apply | OK

But that will not clean
C:\Documents and Settings\YourNameHere\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.IE5

And Disk Cleanup won't clean Content.IE5 either.
You have to use Delete all offline content, a 3rd party tool or...
A couple a different ways to do this.
The proper way is: Delete all offline content

or........................

To empty your Temporary Internet Files cache
1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
2. On the General tab, click Delete Files.

To turn off graphic compression in the AOL client
1. Go to Preferences in AOL.
2. Click Internet properties (or WWW in some versions).
3. Click Web Graphics.
4. Clear Never compress graphics (or Use compressed graphics in some
versions).

or .........................................

Clear the IE cache. I.E./Tools/Options/General/Delete files (and delete
offline content.) It's often recommended that the Temporary Internet
Files (folder) be kept at
40-50 MB. Bigger isn't necessarily better.
If still no joy then have a look at this page for other issues.
