About a month ago Internet Explorer stopped working. I got "Page cannot be
displayed" even if I was browsing to a local page. I downloaded Enigma
Browser which works fine but is much slower than IE. I found that if I
renamed IExplorer.exe to Iexplorer3.exe for example it will run and browse
but on start up it says that it will be run in compatibility mode. In fact I
used the compatibility wizard to specify that iexplorer3.exe not be run in
compatibility mode and it works fine. As long as it isn't named
iexplorer.exe. I had to remove a lot of malware previously and I wonder if
one of them hooked this file in the registry and wasn't removed completely.

If it said Iexplorer.exe, that is spyware. The MS program is Iexplore.exe
Iexplorer.exe:

That was my mistake, it is Iexplore.exe. The "r" was my mistake. If I
rename iexplore.exe to iexplore1.exe or anything else it works fine.
