Dave

I have one web site that I go to and try to download a
PDF file.

http://h71033.www7.hp.com/object/CORBA261DS.html

I get the following error:

Object not found

The object you requested was not available. Either it no
longer exists on our database, or you do not have the
proper permissions to view it.

I can access PDFs on other web sites but the webmaster of
this site swears that I am the only one complaining and
they cannot replicate my problem.

Has anyone ever seen this? Have I set something wrong or
is the a REAL problem with this website? I'm running XP
Home and IE 6.0.2800.1106 and both have the latest
patches. Or is that my problem?

Would really appreciate any help this as I need to get
access to these PDFs. I have used a Windows 98SE machine
with the same problem. I was able to get access from a
Linux machine using "OPEN WITH....." I used Adobe. That
option is not available on Windows.

No the adobe option is not automatically available in
windows, you have to download the adobe acrobar reader
program and install it.

I have Adobe Reader 5.0 already installed and am able to
read PDFs at OTHER sites. The error message was from
the HP site. I do NOT get this error anywhere else.

Any other clues?

Thanx

I have Reader 6.0 and can't open that file.

Sorry Frank, I'm new to this medium.

Anyway, I have Adobe Reader 5.1 installed and CAN read
PDFs at OTHER websites OK. I can't access them (or PPT
files) at the HP.com site (get same error message).
