ie 6.0 slow response

Most of the time when I go to a web site, the response is very slow. Many
times the system times out with an error msg. If I then clik refresh, the
site quickly appears. I have checked my DSL speed and it is 1195 kbps.
This is a recent developement.

This was resolved by unchecking in Tools-Options-Advanced "show http error
messages" per MS support bulletin
