IE 6.0 SHUTS DOWN IMMEDIATELY

XP PRO SP2 WITHIN A FEW SECONDS OF STARTING THE BROWSER IT SHUTS DOWN. RAN
SPYBOT, ADAWARE,SHREDDER, NAV ETC. ALL UPDATES ARE CURRENT. RAN HIJACK THIS
FOUND NOTHING UNUSUAL.
ANY SUGGESTIONS ?

Do you have SP1 installed? if so it might be a conflict between the SP1
software and the SP2. Also software conflicts are common amongst upgrades in
service packs. It might be security updates are corrupted or it could be some
..dll files might have been corrupted when you upgraded. I suggest
re-installing the SP1 software that comes with the windows XP cd. If that
doesnt work I suggest going to the IE homepage and searching for
"Troubleshooting".
