IE 6.0 search help-not working

Hi.

If I try to search with ie 6.0 it gaves me error page. I
used spybot and hijackthis to corect the problem and it
didn't. I deinstalled the IE 6 and reinstalled and didn't
help.

This is my son's computer and he plays a lot of games on
the net. Any logical help would be appriciated.

Also, I intalled the two new service packs and they
didn't help.

I even downloaded the latest patch and didn't help.
