IE 6.0 saving pictures

IE is saving all images as files with no extension.
The only way to save with extension is to type .jpe at
the end of the image name, but this is very annoying.
How can I change this???

Hi Marco,

There is a document about this kind of problem in IE5/5.5, but not for IE6
as far as I can see...

In addition, do you have file extensions marked as visible in Windows
Explorer, Tools, Folder Options?

Thanks for the info, but it is not the case mentioned in
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=250747, as I do not
put periods on the file name.
It is very strange because this happens only in one of my
three computers...I already reinstalled explorer but
nothing...
