IE 6.0 - Keeps Closing - I Can't Fix!!!

I've seen other posts concerning IE 6.0 closing right when
you try to open it and giving some error. I've tried the
different suggestions as far as reinstalling it and to no
avail. I AM able to log in as the guest account and the
internet works fine however under any other account IE
gives an error right away and I cannot use it. Can anyone
help me? This is really frustrating. Thanks in advance!

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

Kris I had this prob for ages. Every time i ran ie6 it said it had to close
and asked if i wanted to send an error report. I saw Franks advice and it
made me remember this bloody virus thing i had a while back that hogs your
browser home page. so I ran somthing called cwsshredder and this got rid of
some spyware but i also had to get rid of a file called mshp.dll on my c
drive and remove any entries of it in the registry.

That did the trick IE 6 works again. Hope this helps
