IE 6.0 General Tab Missing

Has anyone run into the issue where the IE's General Tab
is missing in Tools; Internet Options. What has caused
this issue and how do I resolve it.

I'm having the same problem along with a few more. I've
edited the registry to solve most of the problems, but
the General Tab is still gone. I have not been able to
get a good solution yet. Please let me know if you find
one.

You have spyware/parasite/hijacker. Temporary fix is to use regedit.exe and
delete key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel" and
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control
Panel" with all subkeys. The parasite will propably hide the general tab
again, if you don't get rid of it.
