General Tab Go Away!!!!

Guest

I have the path to use the Group Policy Edit feature in XP Pro which allows
me to remove the General Tab from IE (Tools, Internet Options)

It is my understanding that this feature is NOT available to XP Home users.
How do I accomplish the same thing (remove the General tab in IE) using
Windows XP Home?

Anything simpler then Regedit?
If Regedit, how do I do it?

Thanks!

Hi,
In these 2 registry keys:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control
Panel]
and
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control
Panel]

Create the DWORD Value "GeneralTab"
A value of 0 (00000000) shows the General Tab a value of 1 (00000001) hides
it.

Hope this helps,
Don
