Ideal setup for office/mobile-based BCM user

We are currently exploring the possibility of using BCM for Outlook 2003 in
our SBS2003 environment. Currently, we are focused on one user only, but she
is desk-bound 50% of the time, and mobile with a notebook the other 50%.

Can someone please describe how we could configure the desktop and notebook
so that this user can access her BCM data either in the office or via her
notebook?

Ideally, when using the notebook, a connection back to the office would not
be necessary (ie, data exists locally on the notebook PC), but if necessary
an existing VPN connection could connect back to the office to access the
database.

Is this possible?

This scenario is addressed in Office 2007 BCM.
