ics connection

I have 2 machines both are running XP. Machine 1 has 2
nics in machine. nic1 is connected to internet via
starband - aok. nic2 configured to use ics.

Machine 2 is connected to hub and can ping machine1 when
I have statis IP's. When I configure machine1 as ICS on
the same nic that was static I can no longer ping. (I
changed machine2 to be dhcp)

On machine1 if I config nic1 to use ics then the starband
dies...

Which nic in machine1 should be designated the ICS nic?

Does anyone have ICS working via starband

I believe because of Starband's (satellite internet setups) use 2 IP's to
communicate with the satellite (one to receive and one to transmit), there
are only a couple of software apps that will share or route the connection.
One I know of is WinGate. I don't believe ICS can handle the connection.
