I am having a problem using the ICS option and have tried to review as much
as I can find on the web, but still nothing.

Would like to use ICS with an ad-hoc wireless network (peer to peer).

1. Create Internet network settings - Works and machine 1 can connect to
internet
2. Set sharing on internet nic to use home network of wireless in next step
3. Create wireless ad-hoc settings on machine 1 and machine 2
3. Machine 2 gets assigned a 192.168.0.50 IP address while machine 1 gets
192.160.0.1
4. machine 2 can resolve machine 1 but not ping
5. Disabled firewall in XP and still can not ping machine 1 from 2

What am I missing?

Never mind - The client machine had a loopback adapter which was
conflicting.
