ICS Broken - Can it be Reinstalled?

I seem to have lost ICS on my XPP SP2 box - attempts to ICS (server) result
in the error code 1722 RPC Server not available. All other networking things
work correctly in my two computer home network. ICS/Firewall is not showing
in the Services list.

Is it possible to reload/reinstall the ICS components?

PJ,

not directly, but if you find no other way to repair the system,
you could try a repair installation of Windows XP if you have a
full retail CD (not a more limited OEM version).

Boot from the CD, then at first select to install Windows XP.
Only then choose the R option to repair the existing
installation, which the installer should have found and offered
to repair.
