ICS and XP Home

Fishface

The girls are fighting over the computer.
They're buying another and would like to share a dial-up
connection. I think the old computer has Win95 or maybe
Win98, surely not SE or ME (I'm not there, they're not mine).
I thought I'd soup-it-up and install XP on both.

I remember reading about some limitation with XP Home with
respect to networking. Will I be able to use XP Home on both,
network them and use ICS, or does one or both need to have
XP Pro? I was trying to find the answer, but I found conflicting
information. My head is spinning, and I'm starting to see double.

Thanks for any help!

XP Home has no limitation for a Workgroup and ICS connections.
Just run the netsetup.exe file from Xp and copy the same file to the 98
computers and run it from there as well. Your network is ready with ICS
setup. :) You can use any OS with XP Home network (XP to XP, XP to 98, XP to
95 etc)
