Icons not appearing correctly on the desktop of the server

HI,
We have small business server 2000 in our office and at
the moment it is showing the shortcut to MY COmputer, IE
and My documents with the icon which would appear if there
was no corresponding application. I can launch the
shortcuts no problem but I just want to know how it
happened and if there could be a problem in the furture.

The first thing I think of is, when you logged on did
your profile become corrupt and now you have another
profile named the same as your account that you were
using, but with .000 at the end of it.(ex. administrator,
and administrator.000) If this is the case, your profile
is corrupt and you will have to recreate all the icons.
Let me know if this was your problem.
