Icons in quickbar

Hi

The spayware icon keeps duplicating itself and I some
times have dozens of icons in my quickbar, any ideas how
to stop that.

Are you really talking about the Quicklaunch or Notification area? Persons
have reported multiple icons in the Notification area. Are you running MSAS
on a tablet PC, persons running such devices have experienced the multple
icon phenomena.
