icons in 16bit mode

hi since using tweak ui to remove the shortcut arrows on my desktop shortcuts
all my icons have been in low quality like windows 95 icons, but only when my
display settings are 1024x768 16bit, this is quite annoying as an online game
i play runs in 16bit mode. What can i do to fix this problem?
