Icon handling in Vista.

I am wondering as to how Vista handles icons in folders and on the
desktop. I can hold down the Ctrl key and move the mouse wheel up and
down and Vista will increase/decrease the size of the icons accordingly.
The Vista icon spec, that I've seen in several places (not at MS
though), calls for 16x16,24x24,32x32,48x48 and 256x256 images sizes.
Clearly, Vista also displays icons in 96x96 and 128x128. Does it resize
the existing 256x256 image? If I include 96x96 and 128x128 sizes in the
icon, will Vista utilize them?

What about to try it? Just make another color each resolution and let us
know.
