how and what do you set to hide the email icon when Outlook is minimized? I
want it to hide on the bottom of the task bar. I have the icon but how do I
make it so the program is showing minimized.

can't that i know. all active windows appear in task bar.

Only Outlook 2003 can hide your minimized window in the system tray.
