Icon Background

I recently change the color of the background on my icons
on the desktop. I wish to change it back to a transparent
background but am unable to do so. Any suggestions?
 
Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/Advanced/Performance/Settings/ Visual
Effects/"Use drop shadows for icon labels on the Desktop". If this still
doesn't do the trick, right-click the desktop, point to Arrange Icons By and
make sure that Lock Web Items on Desktop is un-checked.
