My mobo manufacturer supplies such a utility. You might check with you
mobo manufacturer.

But I never use it, as I can tell when my CPU is getting hotter by
hearing my CPU fan speed up.

Not exactly what your looking for but I use Everest for this

I bought a big LCD display indoor/outdoor thermometer at radio shack. Think
it was about $10.
Outdoor sensor is down in the heatsink and may not be exact temp but it
surely tells me when things are heating up, plus it tells me the room temp
so I know my perspiration is windows stress induced.

I have a solution, download a program called speedfan

Make a shortcut in your startup group so that it runs minimised on startup.
Your CPU speed will now be constantly shown in the taskbar. I find this very
useful.
