I'm Windows XP and I looked at fonts and didn't
find "ANDALE MONO". How to get that zero with dot? Thanks.

A little more English on that... when I hit the zero
key, I'd like the zero-dot-in-middle character to be typed.

Fixed System has a dot in the 0. This used to be the standard font for
Notepad. You can now change the Notepad font but this change is for viewing
purposes only.

Suggestion:
Open Character Map: Start> (All) Programs> Accessories> System Tools>
Character Map.

With the highlight on the font names, press the down arrow to work your way
through the list of installed fonts. As you change from font to font, the
window will show the characters for each. Make a note of the ones that have
the zero that you want. Pick your favorite and set it as the default font
in your various programs.

No other ideas?

there's a font editor included in XP. It's called the personal font editor
or private font editor, or something like that. I haven't done anything with
it except that I looked at it once and thought that some day when I have
time I might play with it.

I don't know if you can actually modify an existing font with it, but it
would be worth a try.
