So goes the way of MS. Promising something on a certain date only to leave
ppl scrambling and begging and pleading... Then to be left uninspired,
underappreciated, tired, bored and put back in the waiting line.

Ahhh the joy.

Why, in your words, should ppl go scrambling begging and pleading. Don't you
think MS should protect their customers?
What is in SP3 that you are so in a hurry to get?

Well thats a stupid question. Why do you think. To save the aches and pains
of installing for gagillion updates since SP2 on new machines. Rediculous.
Don't promise what you can't deliver. Another reason people HATE MS with a
rabid passion.

Thanks Three Chicago Wolf. I have it.
But wouldn't that be the RTM that's being held up now for new bug fixes.
It'll be re-released again, no?

No, the delay isn't to change the SP, it's to change Windows update, read
the article that was posted.

It won't be re-released now that it is RTM. They will likely issue a
bug for the one single application that is having an issue. If you
don't have Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System, you'll be
fine.

You spelled out uninspired and underappreciated, but abbreviated
people? Classic.

"...people HATE MS with a rabid passion."

The excessively vocal minority is often simply that; a minority.
Spend a little time learning some aspects of the OS, ...a little
housekeeping now and again, and the benefits are many.

Having lived with the micro since it began, the only thing I don't like
about MS, is the limited "product life."
Specifically, for example, lots of learning becomes largely redundant, or is
forgotten, regarding a previous MS OS/GUI.

e.g. ...sit me in front of a W98, (that I used to know large parts of -
inside out), machine and I often can't remember where to start !

They found a potential compatibility issue at the last minute, and
elected to fix it before releasing it. If you think that's bad, you
have your priorities entirely backwards

A day late ... ah but you work for MS.

Thanks anywayz.

Glancing through this thread, it seems that you don't understand that MVP's,
although "accredited," are not paid to be in here offering help free of
charge i.e. it's voluntary, so perhaps you might want to change your tone to
one that sounds a little more appreciative.

regards, Richard

A Microsoft employee cannot be an MVP. MVPs are volunteer members of the
community.

Just to finish your sentence:

Who have nothing better to do!!

You should have said: MVPs are volunteer members of the community who have
nothing better to do in life!
