windows xp wont start, bsod, cant start in safe mode...
and can not boot from disc. i have my windows xp disc
and even when i go into bios and make the cdrom the
priority boot device, it does not bring up the 'any key'
prompt, just back to the selection of how to start
windows and continual rebooting. the blue screen flashes
so fast, i cant catch the error. any ideas?

Hmmmm!
More than likely, faulty ram however;
Might be power line anomoly.
This can confuse the bios.

Remove power from PC.
Remove battery from motherboard for one minute.
Replace it then load bios defaults and hard drive detect.

If this fails, see a technician.

I don't know what it was,but after I loaded the last set
of updates last week mine done the same thing.Select safe
mode BSOD then reboot,I kept trying, change the bios
settings ,started by unpluging the PCI cards one at a
time after I took them out and reset the bios to default
it came on,to a major crash report, microsoft said it was
a hardware problem. When I checked into it it was the
update for SP1 KB839645 .Deleted it and went to MS site
and reloaded it and it's been working OK this week.If you
ever want to be able to see that flash BSOD when you get
it running then go to start--right click on my computer---
properties---advance tab---startup recovery system
failure, click the settings button---uncheck the box for
restart---then OK. That way next time it does this to
you, you'll be able to read the (blue screen of death)
(BSOD).Last week I lost a lotta cash from having this box
down,MS screwed me good with that update. Thanks Bill and
friends!

Hello Dorian,
I am having almost the exact same difficulties as H.R.,
except I am able to enter and work in safe mode/safe mode
networking and do not have a disc to try. Would your
suggestion (removal of battery etc.)possibly work in my
situation? I am willing to try anything about now....

one click on it and rool back the driver,if it wont rool
back delete it and reboot, plug and play will fix it for
you,you then can get into regular mode.
