I saved a scanned text in MS Word . It will not do a spell check.

I have scanned a text, using Omnipage and then saved the text as a Word doc.
I have added to the text but I find that spell check will not work. It
alsways comes up with "The spelling check is completed".
Spell check works with all other documents.
Any recomendation?

Ctrl+A to Select All, then go to Tools | Language | Set Language and make
sure that the correct language is selected and that the box for "Do not
check spelling or grammar" is clear.

Is the text from the scan actually editable text?

You can try going to Tools>Options - Speling & Grammar, click the Recheck
button & acknowledge Yes to the prompt. Run the spell checker after you OK
out of the Options dialog.

Thanks. It wqorked. I had looked at language settings before but not done the "select all" . Great help Joachim Z
