I/O device error

I am trying to install the new Sims Mega Deluxe, had the other one before, for some dumb reason I took it off, and not I keep getting an I/O device error,,,any ideas?? I am lost...could you reply to (e-mail address removed), this is my granddaughters account? Thanks
 
Hi Admiral,

Are you able to reproduce that error using other install CD's,
or is the Sims Mega Deluxe the only CD causing that error?

I was able to put Barbie pet rescue disk in, and it would play, it was installed before. But my husband tried the print master to make cards, and that would not take the disk either...I am totally cofused!!!

If this problem has only started recently, try restoring your system.
